Who we are

What we do

FLC Law is a Florida-based consumer law firm focused on property damage insurance disputes. The firm is led by two experienced advocates who combine sophisticated insurance litigation strategy with deep, construction-adjacent knowledge to represent policyholders in Florida, Colorado, and Texas.

Our attorneys are former insurance defense counsel and commercial litigators. We are experienced in real estate litigation, commercial and real estate closings, and in resolving building code violations. That background gives us an insider’s understanding of how insurers evaluate, defend, and deny claims. We leverage that experience to represent consumers in first- and third-party property insurance claims, including complex bad faith litigation. Collectively, we bring more than 30 years of experience in the property insurance industry and a track record of holding insurers accountable for contractual breaches and unlawful claims practices.

Since 2012, we have litigated property insurance cases to verdict across Florida. Our work extends beyond policy interpretation. We use building codes, regulatory frameworks, and complex commercial litigation strategies to pursue liability against insurers, their “preferred” vendors and contractors, condominium and homeowners’ associations, and other responsible parties. When insurers attempt to limit recovery through narrow policy defenses, we identify and pursue legally viable avenues outside the policy to fully address our clients’ needs and enhance their recovery.

Our mission is straightforward: to hold property insurers and related corporate actors accountable when they fail to honor their legal obligations. That mission—and sustained demand from clients—has driven our expansion beyond Florida. In 2024, we extended our building code–centric approach into Colorado and Texas through affiliated local counsel. Beginning February 2026, FLC Law will serve as Of Counsel to Your Insurance Attorney, PLLC, allowing us to offer a coordinated, single-source solution for property damage insurance matters in Georgia, North Carolina, and additional jurisdictions, supported by the same attorneys and staff.

If you are facing a property damage insurance dispute, we are prepared to pursue every lawful avenue to secure a fair and just outcome.

About The Firm

What we do

FLC Law was built on a fundamentally different approach to property damage insurance claims. Our perspective is shaped by direct experience with catastrophic loss and decades of hands-on litigation against insurers.

Our attorneys experienced the destruction of their family homes during Hurricane Andrew in 1992. That event did not simply instill empathy—it produced a long-term understanding of how building codes, insurer behavior, and post-disaster regulation intersect. Few first-party or bad faith firms understand the practical and legal consequences of building code compliance as deeply as we do.

Since 2012, we have consistently held insurers accountable for refusing to pay claims in compliance with mandatory local building codes. We regularly work with code officials, permit professionals, and construction experts to develop code-based liability theories that insurers often ignore or deliberately evade. Florida’s building code—widely regarded as the most stringent and complex in the country—has been the proving ground for this strategy. That experience positioned us to deploy the same approach effectively in Texas and Colorado.
